Leiden University and Unicef have already been working together for ten years to increase and share information on children’s rights. They are extending this cooperation. Professor of Children’s Rights Ton Liefaard explains what has already been achieved and what he wants to achieve in the next five years.

Besides the professors by special appointment funded by LUF, a number of other special chairs are financed by named funds. One of these is the UNICEF Fund Chair in Children’s Rights.

The world is changing rapidly. Climate change, digitalisation, social inequality, health, and geopolitical tensions call for new solutions and insights. Leiden University plays a leading role in addressing these challenges. To continue fulfilling this role, support from committed trusts and foundations is essential.
