Golden Keyholder
Whether you establish a named fund or make a donation, as a Golden Keyholder you make a lasting contribution to the future of education, research, and talent development at Leiden University.
You become part of our Keyholder family, a network of committed donors. With a named fund or a contribution of 5,000 euros or more, you become a Golden Keyholder of LUF. As a Golden Keyholder, you are involved in the same way as our Keyholders, with a few special privileges. For example, we organise an exclusive behind-the-scenes visit to a faculty or research project just for you, you are invited as our guest to the annual Keyholders’ Dinner each year, and you or your fund are featured in our LUF Magazine.
Your own fund
With a named fund, you support the university in its mission to find solutions to today’s major challenges – from sustainability and children’s rights to heritage and health. What matters to you? What are you passionate about? Together, we determine how your fund can have the greatest impact, allowing you to make a direct contribution to a better future.
The motivations for establishing a named fund are diverse: in memory of a loved one, as a way to leave a lasting legacy in science, or to support a field of research close to one’s heart. Donors may also choose very specific purposes, such as research into post-traumatic stress disorder, international human rights, or congenital heart defects.
