Student Membership

For students, the Leiden University Fund has a Student Membership. With your gift you support a student or study association in Leiden or The Hague, but also receive discounts for various activities in Leiden and The Hague.

Dine with a discount at Very Italian Pizza Leiden!

At Very Italian Pizza, you can eat the most delicious Italian pizza, pasta and everything the Italian cuisine has on offer. As a LUF Student Member, you can enjoy this with a major discount! For reservations up to 9 persons, you get 20% off* for your dinner at VIP Leiden. Groups bigger than 10 persons get a 10% discount.

*Valid on monday, tuesday, wednesday, thursday & sunday. Drinks excluded.

SUPpen in Leiden

Discover a completely new way of seeing Leiden. At SUPpen in Leiden LUF Student members get a great discount of €10 on the Wednesday and Friday Night SUP (normally €25). During the 1,5 hour Wednesdag or Friday Night SUP you glide over the beautiful canals in the historical city centre of Leiden on a Stand Up Paddle board. Bring your friends, and have a great evening on the water!

Boulderhal Kunststof/Krachtstof

At Boulderhal Kunststof and Boulderhal Krachtstof in Leiden LUF Student members can climb for only €10,50 in the off peak hours!

The off peak hours are from 07.00 to 18.00 o'clock during the week and from 18.00 until closing time in the weekend (23.00 of 00.00 uur).

Club Hifi

Free entrance to the regular parties at Club Hifi; one of the biggest dance clubs in Leiden (normally €2,95).

The Hague

Eat and drink with a discount at eatery Van Beek

At eatery Van Beek, you can go out for lunch, dinner or drinks in a beautiful environment, just five minutes away from the Wijnhaven campus. As a LUF Student Member, Van Beek offers an exclusive 20% discount on the whole menu - including drinks and food.

Surf's Cool

With your LUF-Student Member card you get a €7,50 discount on surf lessons at the coolest surf school in The Hague: Surf's Cool. This school is located at the famous Pier in Scheveningen.

You can make a reservation for one, two or more lessons via the website. Before checking out and paying online, you can add a voucher code: LUFsurfing2023.

Please note that you should bring your LUF Student Member card to the location, so that the surf school can check if you are really eligible for the LUF-discount.

Bouldering at four different halls

As a LUF student member, you can go to several boulder halls in The Hague with a sharp discount! LUF student members get exclusive deals at Boulderhal Walhalla, ook Boulderhal Nirvana, Boulderhal de Campus and Revolt Bouldering Gym (Delft).

Ten-trips ticket or subscription: check your discount!

All students can climb at Boulderhal Walhalla for just €9,75 per visit. If you are planning to go more often, as a LUF student member you are in luck! LUF student members get an exclusive discount on the subscription plan which offers access to all four of the halls Instead of €51,-, you only have to pay €42,50 per month!

For a ten-trip ticket, which also offers access to Walhalla, Nirvana, De Campus & Revolt, you get a special price of €97,50 (instead of €108,-).

You decide which cause you will support

For only € 5 per year you are a Student Member of the Leiden University Fund. You decide what happens with your contribution: you can choose to donate the money to the Mandela Study Fund, which gives South African students the opportunity to study at Leiden University. Or you choose to donate the money to your Leiden or Hague study or student association.
