Autumn campaign 2025

Donate today, so our researchers can work on solutions for a healthy tomorrow!

Migraine research

Migraine is more than just a headache – it can seriously limit people’s lives. Attacks strike suddenly and can include an aura, a pounding headache and severe nausea. Many patients shut themselves away in a dark, quiet room. Gisela Terwindt and her team are researching the effect of lifestyle factors and triggers, to help predict migraine attacks with or without an aura. The aim is personalised treatment. Donate today and give migraine patients back control over their lives.

Research on experts by experience

More and more young people with complex mental health problems are trapped in a vicious circle of despair. They suffer from trauma, depression, eating disorders and self-harm. This can seriously affect their future. Laura Nooteboom and her team are researching how young experts by experience can help support their peers, by showing them that recovery is possible. Donate and give young people with complex mental health problems new hope.
