Student activities

Innovative and special student activities that enrich student life or society in general are also supported. If you as a student or study association are planning to organise an activity, you can apply to the Committee for General Subsidies for Student Activities (CASSA) for a grant.

Every year, dozens of subsidies are awarded for excursions, conferences, anniversary celebrations, sports tournaments, stage performances, concerts and symposia.

Arjen Lubach vs. Gert-Jan Segers in the Pieterskerk

Over 1,000 students were packed into a crowded Pieterskerk to witness a special debate. Christian Union leader  Gert-Jan Segers discussed religion with author and presenter Arjen Lubach, moderated by Rector Magnificus Carel Stolker. The key question was how much influence religion may have on Dutch society. The evening – ‘Religion: keep it in the home’ - was organised by Veritas Leiden, with the support of a contribution from CASSA.
