LUF Praesidium Libertatis Grant

The Praesidium Libertatis Grant of € 75.000,- is awarded to a young talented researcher, who is able to (further) develop innovative and original research ideas. The grant is also meant to be a first step towards larger grants. Applications will be assessed by the LUF Committee for Academic Expenditure (CWB).

Two LUF Impulse Grants will be awarded in autumn 2024. Each faculty can nominate up to two projects. The criteria and the procedure can be found on the right side of this page (or below on your smartphone).

Per faculty two applications may be submitted, so there is a pre-selection. The deadline for submitting project proposals is 1 July 2024. Please note that the pre-selection deadline is earlier and different for each faculty. Please contact the person coordinating the process within the faculty.

Final report

You must submit a final report for your project within two months of the project’s completion via the final report form for this. The final report should contain a number of elements, which can be attached to the form:

  • a list of expenses (please use the expense form)
  • a descriptive report
  • photos of the project

See the Criteria final report to find out what you need to include in your descriptive report. The final report will determine the exact sum that is disbursed and will allow the LUF to show donors and potential donors what their support has made possible. The report and photos will become the property of the LUF and may be used for publication purposes.
